I BELIEVE THAT EVERY PERSON IS ABLE TO LEARN MUSIC, LISTEN TO MUSIC, AND IS CAPABLE OF BEING MUSICAL.

THE LEARNING PROCESS

ONE / FUNDAMENTALS.

Through learning the fundamental concepts of the flute such as tone, fingering technique, and breath support, the student will be able to develop techniques and musical vocabulary to fully express them through the instrument.

TWO / ALL LEVELS.

I enjoy teaching students of a variety of levels and ages,
as long as they are as committed and passionate to the instrument as I am! No matter what level you are on, lessons will be tailored to your specific needs and musical preferences.

LUISA IS AN EXCEPTIONAL TEACHER.

She has a way to teach kids without stressing them out with a lot of homework but still maintaining a good pace so you really see (well, hear) the progress.

-L. Katz, parent

I'm happy that my daughter has not only learned technique
but has developed a real love and intuition for music.
That's hard to teach, but Luisa has guided my daughter towards a greater appreciation of music and an even bigger sense of accomplishment.

MARCHING BAND CLINICS|  FLUTE SECTIONALS|  WORKSHOPS

Does your school band and/or orchestra flute section need some extra help with those difficult passages in their band repertoire? How about helping them with how to play as part of a section?

I can give your flute students those “top secret” tips on how to practice difficult passages, improve tone quality in all registers, and how to play as part of an ensemble.

My workshops are basically a guided practice, leading students through group warm-ups, exercises for improving technique and pitch, and talking through passages that they’re struggling with whether it be in their ensemble or in their solo repertoire. The goal is to have students leaving with the right tools to achieve what they need and want from their flute playing.
